London - Borough Market; London Museum; Postmans Park; London night lights

Saturday, 28th September
On Saturday we met up with our friend Joe, whom we last saw when he visited Australia ten years ago. There was much to catch up on, so we started with lunch in the Crypt Cafe under St Martin in the Fields Church, Trafalgar Square.

Next we visited Borough Market , wow, what a selection of edible delights; we seemed to be especially drawn to the many sweet treats...

...but Emily did sample a healthy fruit smoothie...

Great selection of fresh loaves; we bought an olive oil & rosemary loaf....mmmm....

Amazing selection of liquorice...

Getting close to the Shard...
Emily poses outside the London Museum...
Emily was delighted when Joe bought her this lovely London corgi...
Many interesting exhibits at the London Museum...

We then walked to  Postmans Park, where you will find the many moving wall plaques of the Watts Memorial,  in memory of people who gave their lives to help / save others.

Just a few of the many memorial plaques...

We then walked on to the Thames near the London Eye for some night photos...
