Beginning to realise that we could easily have spent the entire two months in London and still not even come close to seeing everything.
Today we went two stops from Hammersmith to Shepherds Bush , where the huge Westfield shopping complex is located. LOTS of shops, although many seemed to be the expensive designer shops. Still, worth a trip , as we picked up a lovely jacket for Lesley from Marks & Spencer.
Headed back to the flat after lunch for a short rest, then headed into central London on the tube to Picadilly, where you'll find a lot of the theatres, clubs and of course the nightlife - packed with people.
We saw a comedy at the Criterion Theatre called "The 39 Steps" What a great performance - murder mystery comedy, with all the many parts being played by just four amazing actors.
So many funny scenes - eg where the actors moved as if on a moving train; a villain was shot, started groaning, then stopped to wonder who actually shot him, since the other three actors were also on the stage at the same time; some great one-liners too - eg "What? Bob's your uncle?"
