It was a beautiful blue sky day in Sweden as we flew out to Edinburgh. We were so lucky to have wonderful views, especially over the north of Norway - fjords and a huge glacier.
It was quite a bit cloudier over Scotland as we came in to land in Edinburgh. Hopped on the Airlink bus which took us straight to our B&B, Dalmore Lodge, which happens to be opposite Edinburgh Zoo. Sadly we won't have time to see the pandas at the zoo. :-(
After a wee rest it was off to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle. We've seen the event on the TV, but it is fantastic being there. The performers - musicians, singers, marching men & women, young stunt motorcyclists as young as six years, and many more, were excellent, and very professional, even when the rain was bucketing down upon them.
