The weather was a little cloudy and windy, but still with some blue patches. Emily, Lesley and I kept our eyes peeled as we drove alongside Loch Ness. Surprising how large some of the waves were. We enjoyed the presentation at the Loch Ness centre at Drumnadrochit, which encourages the visitors to decide for themselves about the existence of a large water creature in the loch.
Take a look at this video, edited by Emily:
After leaving Nessie we travelled back to Inverness and then on to Fort George, a working military base covering around 42 acres. Very windy but a lot of fun walking the ramparts and exploring the grounds. Then it was onto Cairn Gorm mountain where we took the funicular railway to the summit. This was a terrific experience, well worth it. Spectacularly windy and cold views from the top! On the way down we even saw reindeer - mother and young ones it seemed.
We told you it was windy! Try getting that jacket on Emily!
