Stratford to Oxford - Friday 30th August

After saying farewell to Stratford, we set off for Oxford, stopping first at the Cotswold Falconry Centre. See the post earlier in this blog, especially the video of Lulu the Chilean eagle. Did you see the vapour trail on Lulu's wings as she zoomed back to earth?
After leaving Moreton on Marsh and the Falconry Centre, we stopped in at the village of Stow on the Wold; had a walk around and some pasties for lunch.

 A very significant historical plaque?...
It wasn't too long until we arrived in Oxford. We had beautiful weather to see the wonderful buildings in Oxford.   In the Bodelian library of the University of Oxford we saw a display of "Magical Books". Absolutely amazing to see books from the 1100s, still in wonderful condition!  I wonder if we could still read something on an iPad, Kindle of other device in 900 years?

Christ Church College, Oxford...

This canal boat was full to the brim with party-goers, complete with thumping music... either the geese were grooving along to the music or trying to escape it!

Among the buskers in Oxford was this band, complete with strings section...
