Wales back to England - Cheddar Gorge, Bath

Wednesday 4th September saw our departure from Wales, again crossing the Severn bridge, this time to return to England.  In her trip to the UK a few years ago, Lesley had enjoyed a visit to the Cheddar Gorge.  We headed to the village of Cheddar (yes, cheddar and other cheeses are made there and in that area) where we had a most enjoyable day exploring the shops and scenery of the Cheddar Gorge. (See the red marker "A" below)

 Tasting the cheeses in Cheddar...

Heading out of Cheddar up to the gorge...

Mountain goats enjoying their day at Cheddar Gorge...

Rock climbing is a popular pastime at the gorge...

 Gromit loves the Cheddar cheeses...

Old style road signs in the Bath area...
The view from our accommodation near Bitton, not far from Bath; a lovely farm on 18 acres...

We met a lovely family from Dubbo, NSW, who were also staying on the farm.  We walked down the road to have a delicious pub meal at The Swan Inn.
